433 TFS, known as "Satan's Angels," was among the most storied USAF squadrons of the Vietnam conflict. OPERATION BOLO, lead by Col Robin Olds, was one of their many actions.

This print shows a F-4D-28-MC ready for a mission at RTAFB Ubon in 1970. The D model was a improved of the USAF's initial C model featuring improved systems and electronics... fire control radar, comm/nav/IFF, inertial navigation system, as well as additional of the AIM-4D Falcon infrared missile in place of the AIM-9B Sidewinder. Externally discernible from the C by a larger radome and the extra bump on the under-nose pod... no longer housing the AAA-4 IRST it now housed ALR-25 and 26 RHAW set.

709 is shown with a "wall-to-wall" load out of 18 x MK 82 LDGP bombs... a Multiple Ejection Rack with 6 and a Triple Ejection Rack with 3 under each wing. Additionally, she carries a centerline 600 gallon external fuel tank, an AN/ALQ-87 electronic noise jamming pod, and 2 x AIM-7E's in the aft fuselage stations for self-protection.
