The Rough Raiders have existed in several forms since their creation shortly after World War II. During those transitions, they have flown TBM Avengers, AM Maulers, AD Skyraiders, F9F Cougars, A4F/A-4 Skyhawks, A-7 Corsairs. In their most modern form, they have been the “West Coast” Navy’s F/A-18 and F-35C Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) based at California’s NAS Lemoore.
NJ 412 is depicted as she appeared in 2017 ready for a training sortie with a clean configuration and her wings folded.
