The IDF’s 116 Squadron “Lions of the South” became Israel’s second Adir squadron in 2020 when they were reestablished having shut down F-16A Netz operations in 2015.

Unique among F-35’s, the Adir integrates indigenous Israeli data link and EW hardware and software and are receiving certification to carry Python 5 IR missiles and Rafael Spice weapons in their internal weapons bay.

930 is shown in a minimum radar cross section configuration with internal only weapons carriage and no Luneberg reflectors. She is armed with a pair of GBU-31 JDAM 2000 lbs. munitions and a pair of AIM-120 missiles for self-protection.
