Attack Squadron One Four Seven was formed as the Navy’s first A-7 squadron in 1967. In 1989, the Argonauts converted to the F/A-18C and then the F/A-18E before becoming the Navy’s first operational F-35C squadron as Strike Fighter Squadron One Four Seven in 2018. They embarked on USS Carl Vinson in August 2021.
