Formed a month after the attack on Pearl Harbor pulled the US into a war against Japan, and named to honor the New Guinean natives who frequently rescued down squadron pilots, the Headhunters of 80th Fighter Squadron have flown throughout the Pacific.

Known as the Juvats - after their motto "Audentes Fortuna Juvat," translated from Latin as Fortune Favors the Bold by the squadron - the squadron has flown F-16's since 1981 out of Kunsan AB, South Korea.

The Juvats gave up their Block 15 A model Vipers for Block 30 C models, which are represented by 84-388 in our print. She is from a time before the AIM-120 and Targeting Pods made their way widely into the F-16 and is depicted with a typical Air-to-Ground load out of 2 Mk 84 LDGP bombs, 2 x 370 Gallon Wing Tanks, an AN/ALQ-119 ECU pod on the centerline and 4 x AIM-9L missiles under the wings. She also has a hot gun with 510 20 mm rounds and full chaff and flare modules.

Any Fighter Studios print can be customized with different squadron marking, different store configurations, names on the nose or canopy rail. To get yours started, click Personalized Print to get started or Email with questions.
