In 2017, Italy’s 180 Gruppo Caccia (Hunting Group) celebrated their 100th anniversary. Today, part of the 370 Stormo, they operate out of Trapani-Birgi Airport in Sicily providing air defense for the Southern Region. Having operated the F-104 ASA and ASA M’s and F-16A ADF’s from Trapani, since 2012 the Gruppo has operated the Eurofighter.

Unique among Eurofighter operators, Italy designated their jets F-2000A’s rather than the EF2000 moniker commonly applied. M.M 7321 is shown ready for an Air Sovereignty mission carrying a pair of AIM-120C medium range missiles, a pair of IRIS-T short range infrared missiles, and a pair of external wing tanks in addition to her internal cannon.

Any Fighter Studios print can be customized with different squadron marking, different store configurations, names on the nose or canopy rail. To get yours started, click Personalized Print for more information or click Email with questions.
