Following OPERATION DESERT STORM, the 354 TFW – including the 355 TFS and its A-10’s were assigned to PACAF and moved to Eielson AFB in Alaska.
81-0929 is shown as the 354 OG flagship shortly before the squadron stood down as part of 2007’s BRAC. She’s depicted with a maximum flexibility load out with a pair of AGM-65B EO Maverick missiles, a pair of GBU-12 LGB’s, a pair of MK 82 SE HDGP bombs, and a pair of MK 84 LDGP bombs… and of course, the GAU-8 cannon which has always been the jet’s bread and butter. For self-protection, she additionally carries a pair of AIM-9M IR missiles and a AN/ALQ-131 ECM pod.
